Online dice games, the Crazy Dice speciality

Dice games are a truly Belgian passion. Born in the country's cafés as dice machines, they found a second life online, with their grids of dice faces, their paylines and their modern bonus features. At Crazy Dice they take pride of place: they are the very heart of our catalogue.

This page brings together our dice games: the four-grid dice titles where you place the dice yourself. They are playable in demo mode as well as for real money. If you prefer dice slots, our dedicated section gathers those reel-based titles separately, with a different mechanic we explain below.

What is an online dice game?

An online dice game takes the principle of a slot machine but swaps the usual symbols for dice faces. Instead of fruit or characters, it is the values from one to six that line up across the reels or within grids. Everything runs on a certified random number generator, exactly like a traditional slot: no skill is involved, chance alone decides the outcome.

This format is a hallmark of the Belgian market. A direct descendant of the dice games once found in physical venues, it enjoys a regulatory framework specific to the country. That is why you will find so many dice games at Belgian operators, and so few elsewhere in Europe. At Crazy Dice, this heritage runs through dozens of titles, from the most stripped-back to the richest in features.

How dice games work

The Belgian dice game rests on a recognisable structure: most often four grids of three by three squares, onto which you distribute the dice dealt each round yourself. Combinations form when several matching faces line up along an active payline, and the placement you choose directly shapes the result.

Two figures matter before you stake. The first is the return to player, or RTP, which shows the share of stakes theoretically paid back to players over the long run: most of our games sit around 96%. The second is volatility, which describes the rhythm of the wins: low volatility pays small amounts often, high volatility keeps you waiting but aims higher. Both figures always appear in the game's information panel.

The dice games to discover at Crazy Dice

Our dice games come in several styles, from the most straightforward to the richest in features. Here are four representative titles to begin your exploration:

• Take It or Not — a dice game built on decision-making, where you accept or decline your winnings as the round unfolds.
• Infinity Dice — a fast, punchy dice game from Air Dice, with re-triggers that keep the action going.
• Mystery Deal — a title where the Mystery rounds shake up the usual course of a sequence.
• Mega Wheels — a dice game that grafts a bonus wheel onto its grid, for extra multipliers.

Each has its own personality and its own pay table. The best approach is to try them in demo mode to find the one whose rhythm suits you, before switching to real money.

Dice games and dice slots: two families not to confuse

The distinction is clear, and it shapes the whole catalogue. A dice game is a placement title: you spread dice across four grids, often with an element of decision. That is the format featured on this page. A dice slot, by contrast, is a dice-themed slot machine: the faces land on reels and wins are read along fixed lines, with no input from the player.

The two answer different moods. If you are after a dice-themed slot rather than a placement game, our dice slots section gathers those titles separately. And to keep up with releases, our latest added games put new arrivals in the spotlight as soon as they land.

How to choose your dice game

Three simple criteria guide a good choice. The RTP first, favouring the highest available at a comparable format. Volatility next, matched to your budget and your patience: a modest balance will last longer on a low-volatility game. And the bonus features, which shape the whole experience: wheel, Mystery rounds, multipliers, bonus buy depending on the title.

Our advice: always start with the demo version. It includes every feature without staking a single euro, and it is the best way to grasp a mechanic before you commit. Once you have your bearings, you will move to real money knowing exactly what to expect.
